McGill core endurance tests for trunk stability.
Purpose
Screen for McGill Core Endurance Tests findings.
Execution
- Perform the trunk flexor endurance test (modified curl-up hold)
- Perform the trunk extensor endurance test (Sorensen hold)
- Perform right and left side bridge holds
- Record time to fatigue for each test
- Compare ratios and side-to-side differences
Key Observations
- Flexor endurance (isometric sit-up)
- Extensor endurance (Biering-Sorensen)
- Side bridge (side plank)
Views
Protocol
- Observe from: lateral.
- Standardize start position and instructions.
- Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
- Record key observations and any positive indicators.
- Compare left vs right when applicable.
