Pectoralis Minor Length Test
Flexibility
Assesses pectoralis minor length via acromion-to-table distance.
Purpose
Screen for Pectoralis Minor length findings.
Execution
- Lie supine with arms relaxed at the sides
- Measure acromion-to-table distance at rest
- Optional: apply gentle posterior pressure over the coracoid to assess passive length change
- Compare sides
Key Observations
- Posterior acromion should rest close to the table
- Compare sides and note scapular anterior tilt
Views
Protocol
- Observe from: superior.
- Standardize start position and instructions.
- Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
- Record key observations and any positive indicators.
- Compare left vs right when applicable.
