Pectoralis Minor Length Test

Flexibility

Assesses pectoralis minor length via acromion-to-table distance.

Purpose

Screen for Pectoralis Minor length findings.

Execution

  1. Lie supine with arms relaxed at the sides
  2. Measure acromion-to-table distance at rest
  3. Optional: apply gentle posterior pressure over the coracoid to assess passive length change
  4. Compare sides

Protocol

  1. Observe from: superior.
  2. Standardize start position and instructions.
  3. Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
  4. Record key observations and any positive indicators.
  5. Compare left vs right when applicable.
