Posture

Global standing postural scan to identify alignment deviations.

Purpose

Screen for postural alignment deviations.

Execution

  1. Have the client stand relaxed and barefoot
  2. Assess from the sagittal view first
  3. Assess from the frontal and posterior views
  4. Note head, shoulder, spine, pelvic, knee, and foot alignment
  5. Document asymmetries and deviations

  1. Observe from: frontal, lateral, posterior.
  2. Standardize start position and instructions.
  3. Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
  4. Record key observations and any positive indicators.
  5. Compare left vs right when applicable.
