Movement Screen

Assessment of gluteal activation and hip extension pattern.

Purpose

Screen for Prone Hip Extension findings.

Execution

  1. Lie prone with legs straight
  2. Activate glute and lift one leg slightly
  3. Keep the pelvis level and avoid lumbar extension
  4. Observe timing of glute vs hamstring activation
  5. Compare sides

Protocol

  1. Observe from: posterior.
  2. Standardize start position and instructions.
  3. Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
  4. Record key observations and any positive indicators.
  5. Compare left vs right when applicable.
