Purpose

Screen for single-leg hinge control and balance.

Execution

  1. Stand on one leg with a soft knee
  2. Hinge at the hip as the free leg reaches back
  3. Keep the spine neutral and hips square
  4. Return to standing with control
  5. Compare sides

  1. Observe from: lateral, posterior.
  2. Standardize start position and instructions.
  3. Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
  4. Record key observations and any positive indicators.
  5. Compare left vs right when applicable.
