Purpose
Screen for single-leg hinge control and balance.
Execution
- Stand on one leg with a soft knee
- Hinge at the hip as the free leg reaches back
- Keep the spine neutral and hips square
- Return to standing with control
- Compare sides
Key Observations
- Neutral spine
- Minimal pelvic rotation
- Compare both sides
Views
Protocol
- Observe from: lateral, posterior.
- Standardize start position and instructions.
- Perform 2-3 trials per side when applicable.
- Record key observations and any positive indicators.
- Compare left vs right when applicable.
