Single Leg Heel Raise

lower leg exercises Posterior tibialis, gastrocnemius, soleus

Single-leg calf strength exercise; also a functional test for posterior tibialis.

Execution

  1. Stand on one leg (light wall support if needed)
  2. Rise onto the ball of the foot
  3. Lower under control (eccentric focus)
  4. 3 sets x 15-25 reps
  5. If you cannot reach 25, weakness is likely
